Sarah Maisel

In 2006, after finishing college, Alabama native Sarah Maisel headed west to San Diego to work at UCSD. One Wednesday night she visited a strummers group and fell in love with the Ukulele. After taking private lessons for several years she emerged as a very gifted Ukulele player. Several friends introduce her to Producer Tim Coffman and that partnership resulted in the release of “Have Uke Will Travel” . This is Sarah’s first full length CD and features Ukulele instrumentals and vocal renditions of classic songs from the Great American Songbook. Sarah has recorded some of her favorite standards in the classic Jazz, Roots and Hawaiian Music styles; she blends old skool tones with a modern swagger.

A year later Sarah recorded “In The Moment”, a recording that features Ukulele instrumentals and vocal performances of classic Jazz and popular standards. Sarah also contributes the classic Hawaiian songs. “Ukulele Lady” and “Haole Hula”.

“In The Moment” delivers a more personal feel and Sarah digs deep with soulful performances of songs like Stevie Wonder’s “For Once In My Life” and the ever-popular “Quiet Night of Quiet Stars”. Sarah also covers The James Taylor classic "Carolina On My Mind".
